Keosauqua has a variety of trail systems available for walking or biking.

The Van Buren County Trails Association has been the key player in the creation of the Keosauqua Loop trail that provides access to the downtown city park, the riverfront amphitheater and the new Ferguson sports complex.

The water trail also runs through Keosauqua and more information about that trail can be found on the Travel Iowa website.

Lacey State Park borders Keosauqua and also provides miles of trail adventures. Information about all of the trails in Van Buren County can be found here.

Riverfront Amphitheater & Riverfront Park

The Van Buren County Trails Association was key in the creation of this space for community events. It provides a bandshell for musical events as well as a large lawn space for vendors or community gatherings. Information on the Riverfront Park can be found on the Van Buren County Trails Associations facebook page here.

Rental forms for the Riverfront Amphitheater can be found here.

Keosauqua City Park

The city park has a recently renovated playground thanks to the Promoting Positive Visions volunteer group. All equipment has been updated, painted and refurbished for a fun outdoor play experience.

There is also a small shelter that can be used for birthday parties or family events. A variety of picnic table, benches and bench swings are available throughout the park to make it comfortable for everyone to use and enjoy!
